We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides community-based resources and experiences to underserved youth and young adults (ages 9-18) in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, to empower and inspire them to overcome life’s challenges through self-discovery. As a faith-based organization, Why I Am starts by teaching Kingdom principles and leadership skills for life. Participants gain the key to unlocking their potential by applying skills learned within the program through exposure and exploration in a variety of activities, workshops, and experiences. Why I Am provides access to leading resources such as: hands-on mentorship, recreational therapy, court advocacy, forgiveness, financial capability, health and fitness, civic duty, and career and job readiness, that will help equip each participant for the future of their choice.
